women of color - WRITERS WORLDWIDE

women of color writers worldwide Laterally Creative is developing collaborative pathways with Women of Color, Writers Worldwide who share the some of the goals in developing, promoting, encouraging diversity in story-telling and creative writing. Collaboration opens us up to opportunities to reach those goals through mutual support of each other's journey. By sharing the profiles of Women of Color Writers Worldwide, we are introducing you to new friends with diverse voices. This organization, located in New York, runs Creative Writing workshops for women by allowing “writers to write, and experiment with figurative language, imagery, character development, the uses of dialogue, setting, cliche’ and more. Women of Color Writers Worldwide use poetry, fiction, nonfiction and other to tell our stories; to celebrate" their identity.

This platform has enabled it’s participants to hone their talents. Many have gone onto be, “published, entered prestigious writing colonies, used the workshop to overcome writer’s block, hone their skills, complete chapters of their novels, enter MFA programs... Women of Color, Writers Worldwide also have opportunities to present portions of their manuscripts for feedback, join Women of Color, Writers Worldwide Readings and Performances, free Poetry writing workshops, participate in Women of Color, Writers Worldwide anthologies and other literary experiences.” The organization’s aim “is to present new, under-represented and captivating literary works of the world.” For details regarding Women of Color, Writers Worldwide;
